Interrupting Bias
Identifying and interrupting our own biases are foundational work for educators in order to show up better for our students and help them learn, be loved and belong for exactly who they are. Part of this work means learning to love those identities we hold that we're not super proud of.
The best part of my work is connecting with other brave and bold folks who are ready to dig deep into their own biases because they want to show up better for their students. It takes risk-taking to be these kind of educators, and those are the educators who showed up for my anti-bias training with the Sycamore School in Arlington, VA.
